About Alex Wilschke
Alex Wilschke began his legal career as a Judge Advocate in the United States Marine Corps, serving for ten years as a trial prosecutor, trial defense counsel, and supervisory defense counsel. He also served for over a year in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Alex has the rare distinction of having tried and won cases as a civil plaintiff's lawyer, civil defense lawyer, criminal prosecutor, and criminal defense lawyer. This varied set of accomplishments provides him with a unique skill set and the ability to view the legal process from a number of different angles.
Since leaving the service, Alex continues to fight for people who are injured by the negligent actions of others. Victims of medical malpractice and their families don't always know where to turn for help. In many cases, they require a lifetime of specialized treatment and assisted living care. Achieving the best possible outcome for his clients in medical negligence and birth injury cases is the focus of Alex's practice today. His clients face severe hardships, and it's very rewarding to see them obtain the justice they deserve. He is proud to provide essential help for such individuals in need. But it's also gratifying to know that his work discourages other medical professionals from engaging in careless behavior that could have tragic consequences for innocent patients.
Alex is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he teaches legal research, writing, and oral advocacy. Working with aspiring attorneys is invigorating, and it also helps Alex stay abreast of current legal and social issues. He is licensed to practice law in Colorado, North Carolina, Arizona, Washington, and Wyoming.
Alex is grateful for everything he has achieved, and he appreciates the opportunity to give back to the community. He incorporates his love of sports, legal acumen, and desire to help people grow into the service he provides to others. He loves living in Colorado, and he takes full advantage of outdoor activities such as running, skiing, fishing, and surfing whenever he can. Alex also loves to spend time with his family and his dogs.
