About Elizabeth Bonnett

Elizabeth Bonnett is an Iowa native who is enthusiastic about pursuing justice for injured Coloradans, Iowans, and other individuals throughout the country. Elizabeth came to the firm after her law school clerkship with Roxanne Conlin, one of Iowa's leading civil rights and plaintiff attorneys. Her approach to each case is marked by a unique blend of compassion, diligence, and fierce advocacy, all aimed at achieving the best outcomes for her clients.

Elizabeth achieved her higher education at Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa. During her tenure at Drake, Elizabeth was the captain of the Environmental Moot Court Team, a staff member of Drake Law Review, and a leader in several student organizations. She also received academic excellence awards and was a Research Assistant for Retired U.S. District Judge Mark W. Bennett. Elizabeth's academic journey is a testament to her dedication and merit. She graduated with honors from the University of Iowa, majoring in social work and French horn performance. Her undergraduate years were marked by her participation in the Rose Bowl Parade with the Hawkeye Marching Band.

After graduation, Elizabeth's commitment to public service led her to complete a year of AmeriCorps service at Iowa Legal Aid, where she established the Expungement and Employment Barriers Clinic. Her legal studies culminated in the receipt of her Juris Doctor Degree with honors at Drake University Law School. She was the recipient of two CALI academic excellence awards, the Captain of the Environmental Moot Court Team, a staff member of Drake Law Review, and a recipient of the Edwin Cole Ferguson Award for students dedicated to public service and community.

Elizabeth spent her formative years at a prominent plaintiff civil rights firm in Des Moines, Iowa. Since joining Leventhal Puga Braley P.C., Elizabeth has continued to distinguish herself through her outstanding dedication to her clients. Her passion and energy are evident in everything she does. Elizabeth is licensed in Colorado, Arizona, and Iowa.

Elizabeth spends her free time playing music, hiking, climbing, aquarium keeping, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Indiana Fever, and spending time with her husband and three rescue dogs, Cricket, Bernie, and Digby.
