ALL our attorneys are active members of the CTLA. Founding members Jim Leventhal and Jim Puga have co-chaired the association, been on the Board of Directors, and spoken at seminars and conventions, as well as served on the medical malpractice committee. Jim Leventhal has been granted a Kenneth M. Kripke Lifetime Achievement Award from CTLA.
Jim Leventhal is one of only 100 lawyers in the entire United States (and only the third Colorado lawyer) to achieve membership in The Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only group of the best plaintiff lawyers in the U.S. Members are renowned for their exceptional courtroom skill.
Jim Leventhal is a member of the AAJ President’s Club, Leader’s Forum, and has spoken at National Conventions. Bruce Braley is on the Board of Governors and the Chair-Elect of the Professional Negligence section. Almost every single lawyer at Leventhal & Puga, P.C., devotes time to the AAJ. From being on the Justice Leaders Forum, to editing the AAJ Professional Negligence Newsletter, to serving on the National LGBT Committee, to participating in the Trucking Litigation Group, and more, we show that we care about justice.
Since 1983, Best Lawyers has been reviewing lawyers under a tried-and-true peer review process. We’re proud to say that Jim Leventhal, Jim Puga, Hollynd Hoskins, and Molly Greenblatt are currently on the list (and have been for years). Jim Levanthal has been Lawyer of the Year twice, in 2013 for Colorado Personal Injury, and 2010 for Colorado Malpractice.
Every single attorney at Leventhal & Puga, P.C., is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and fully licensed to practice in the State. We’ve served on the budget committee, given presentations for Continuing Legal Education, and keep up with every shift in Colorado law.

With the goal of connecting and working with legal professionals in the hyper-local Denver area, our Leventhal & Puga, P.C., attorneys are members of the Denver Bar Association. Jim Leventhal won the 2005 Best of the Bar Award in Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice from the Denver Business Journal and Denver Bar Association.
In 2001, Hollynd Hoskins was selected as the Denver Trial Attorney of the Year by the Colorado State Public Defender’s office. This award is given to an attorney who shows dedication, compassion, and courtroom results for her clients.
Jim Puga’s extensive volunteer work with Denver Kids, Inc. was recognized by the organization when it awarded him Friend of the Year. As a counselor, Jim works one-on-one with Denver Public School students, guiding and encouraging them to graduate high school.
Three of our lawyers—Jim Leventhal, Jim Puga, and Hollynd Hoskins—were named on 5280 Magazine’s list of 2016 Top Lawyers in Denver. Mile High Magazine ranks lawyers in dozens of categories to show Denver residents the best litigators.
Founder Jim Leventhal has been the recipient of numerous awards from Law Week Colorado: Best Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice Lawyer 2012; Best Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice Lawyer 2011; Editor’s Choice Best Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Lawyer 2010; and Editor’s Choice Best Plaintiff’s Medical Malpractice Lawyer 2010.
Jim Puga volunteers with this pro-bono organization that protects personal rights, taking on cases involving discrimination, civil rights, prisoners’ rights, constitutional rights, and police brutality.
Bruce Braley has been president of the Iowa chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. ABOTA members work to create opportunities for teachers and students to learn more about the Constitution and the judicial process.
Jim Puga is a faculty member at NITA, the nation’s leading non-profit provider of legal advocacy education, instructing students in the legal arena of trial skills.
Bruce Braley and his wife made a difference to their community. That’s why the Northeast Iowa branch of Big Brothers Big Sisters honored them as the Couple of the Year. BBBS helps children reach successful adulthood by pairing them with volunteer mentors who give their time and attention.
Alex Wilschke is a proud member of the CCDB, a collection of attorneys, investigators, and paralegals dedicated to protecting the rights of the accused. Alex was named one of Colorado College’s Best and Brightest Seniors, and has three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals for meritorious service.
Brian Aleinikoff joined the ranks of the North Star Lawyers of Minnesota from 2013-2015. This program celebrates the work of members who meet or exceed the encouraged amount of pro bono service hours in a year.
Leventhal & Puga, P.C attorney Bruce Braley has been named a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the National College of Advocacy, and the Iowa Academy of Trial Lawyers.
Bruce Braley has been very active on behalf of Iowans. He was appointed to the Rules of Professional Conduct Drafting Committee and the Commission on Planning for the 21st Century by the Iowa Supreme Court, as well as the Governor’s Task Force to Protect Iowans’ Consumer Privacy. He was also appointed to the Federal Practice Committee for the Northern District of Iowa.
Paige Singleton and Kylie Osterloh are both recipients of Sturm College’s Scholastic Excellence Awards for achieving the highest academic performance in several specialties, including Criminal Law and Advanced Trial Practice. Paige won the Reese Persuasive Writing Award as well.
Also named Houston “Woman of the Year in Law and Medicine,” Leventhal & Puga, P.C. attorney Janet Dann belongs to the TTLA, an organization with the mission to “Empower Trial Lawyers.”
